Kyrgyz teachers improved their skills thanks to courses from KRSU and IKBFU
From March 23 to 27, the Institute of Russian Language named after A.O. Orusbaeva KRSU in partnership with the Baltic Federal University. AND. Kanta (Russian Federation, Kaliningrad), as part of events dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language 2023, implemented an online program of advanced training courses «Practices of teaching Russian language and literature in the new educational reality».
6 leading scientists of the Baltic Federal University acted as lecturers. AND. Kanta. During classes (lectures, master classes), a discussion took place of modern methodological developments in the field of teaching Russian language and literature, Russian and Kyrgyz Russian teachers exchanged experiences.
Let us briefly list the topics of the lectures and outline their main content.
Lada Ovchinnikova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Public Monitoring Committee «Institute of Education and Humanities» IKBFU. AND. Kanta, – «Non-standard formats of Russian language classes: upside-down class, game lesson, project lesson». The lecturer presented information about inverted playing techniques in Russian language lessons.
Nadezhda Pisar, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Public Monitoring Committee «Institute of Education and Humanities» IKBFU. AND. Kanta, – «Educational hackathon, pecha-kucha, speed dating as new ways to organize communication in Russian language lessons». The lecturer spoke about the inclusion of an educational hackathon, technology «pecha-kucha» and speed dating in Russian language lessons.
Anastasia Dronova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Public Monitoring Committee «Institute of Education and Humanities» IKBFU. AND. Kanta, – «Functional speech styles: immersing, visualizing, playing». The lecturer shared what speech styles exist, how to use texts of various genres in Russian language classes.
Natalya Likhina, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Public Monitoring Committee «Institute of Education and Humanities» IKBFU. AND. Kanta, – «Artistic practices of modern Russian literature». Natalya Evgenievna gave a brief review of modern Russian literature for schoolchildren, noting the authors whose texts can be included in the course of Russian literature.
Tatiana Tsvigun, candidate of philology Sciences, Advisor to the Rector on Russian Language Issues and Development of Humanitarian Education, IKBFU. Kanta, – «Text reading technologies: sector reading and dialogue notebooks». The lecturer spoke in detail about the effects of the reading methodology by sector and the use of dialogue notebooks.
Larisa Rubtsova, senior lecturer at the Public Monitoring Committee «Institute of Education and Humanities» IKBFU. AND. Kanta, – «Basic reading strategies in literature classes». The lecturer reviewed reading strategies in Russian literature lessons.
Over the course of three days, Kyrgyz teachers became familiar with the advanced achievements of Russian linguistics and became acquainted with modern methods of teaching the Russian language and literature.
More than 100 teachers of secondary schools, teachers and methodologists of universities from all regions of Kyrgyzstan attended the program. Thanks to the remote format of the program, held on the Zoom platform, teachers from the most remote cities and villages of the republic joined the courses.
Classes conducted by specialists from IKBFU. I. Kanta had a wide response among course participants who sincerely admired the teaching skills of the lecturers and thanked their colleagues from Kaliningrad. In turn, the lecturers of the advanced training program expressed gratitude to the teachers and lecturers of Kyrgyzstan for their great interest in the Russian language and constant work to support it.
Representatives of the Kyrgyz and Russian sides expressed a common desire – to continue the successfully begun scientific and educational interaction that contributes to the preservation of the Russian language and literature.
