Leafing through Yesenin's pages

On December 25, the Russian Language Institute KRSU held an oral magazine dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian lyricist Sergei Yesenin. The event, held online, was attended by more than 30 schoolchildren and school teachers in Kyrgyzstan, as well as foreign citizens studying Russian.

The format of an open online lesson allowed guests to see colorful slides depicting the life and work of the poet, listen to his poems, get acquainted with their literary analysis and enjoy a romance based on the poems of S. Yesenin «I have only one fun left».

«He was a living, beating lump of that artistry, which, following Pushkin, we call the highest Mozartian principle, the Mozartian element <...>, – Boris Pasternak wrote about the singer of Russia. – The most precious thing in him – the image of his native nature, forest, Central Russian, Ryazan, conveyed with stunning freshness, as it was given to him in childhood».

The creative evening contributed to the replenishment of the linguistic picture of the Russian world and the expansion of the cultural horizons of students thanks to new regional and value concepts and the establishment of their logical and associative connections with their native culture.
