The Faculty of Medicine KRSU takes part in an international conference in Kursk

On April 10–11, 2025, the International Scientific Conference «Step into Immortality: Historical and Anthropological Problems of Studying the Great Patriotic War» is being held in Kursk, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 90th anniversary of Kursk State Medical University. The event was organized within the framework of the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation.

The medical faculty of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin is taking part in the conference. Representatives of the faculty made presentations on issues of medical care at the front, the role of doctors during the war, as well as preserving the historical memory of the feat of medical workers.

Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health, the administration of the Kursk region, as well as foreign guests addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. A professor from the Department of History and Philosophy of Medicine made a scientific report from KRSU, touching on the topic of humanistic aspects of medical duty in wartime.

KRSU's participation in the conference was an important step in strengthening international scientific cooperation, as well as an opportunity to emphasize the contribution of the Kyrgyz medical community to the common cause of preserving the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War.
