International conference «80 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Contribution of doctors of the Kyrgyz SSR»
An international scientific and practical conference «80 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in Bishkek, on the basis of the National Center for Oncology and Hematology. Contribution of doctors of the Kyrgyz SSR». The event was organized by the Department of Public Health and Health of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
Acting Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov noted the importance of such events for preserving historical memory and forming professional guidelines among students.
«Scientific dialogue about the past, especially in a context such as medicine during the war years, helps us not only to become more aware of the contributions of our predecessors, but also inspires the further development of medical science and practice».
The key speaker of the conference was the head of the department of public health KRSU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor and Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Naken Kasievich Kasiev. In his speech, he spoke about the dedicated work of Kyrgyz doctors at the fronts and in the rear, emphasizing that their heroism and professionalism played a vital role in the Victory.
The conference brought together scientists, students and medical specialists. Future doctors from Kursk State Medical University took part in the event online, presenting a report on the topic «Organization of medical care during the Great Patriotic War». KRSU students presented a study «Kyrgyz doctors — heroes of the Great Patriotic War», demonstrating deep analysis and sincere interest in preserving the memory of outstanding personalities.
The event reaffirmed the importance of generational continuity and respect for historical heritage. It has become another step in strengthening scientific cooperation and educating future professionals who keep the lessons of the past in their hearts.
