International Day of Children with Cancer. Interview with Zakir Kamarli

Every year on February 15, International Day of Children with Cancer is celebrated. In many countries, the problems of pediatric oncology are very acute, and Kyrgyzstan is no exception in this regard. Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of KRSU Zakir Kamarli spoke about the situation with pediatric oncology in the country. According to him, 15-18 children out of 100 thousand are diagnosed with cancer. Leukemia comes first, tumors come second. But children have a better chance of getting rid of this disease than adults. However, a tenth of cancer cases are detected only at the third stage, and in eight percent of children it is diagnosed only at the fourth stage.
