International Student Forum «Kyrgyzstan-Asia 2015»
From September 3 to 6, 2015, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin, under the auspices of the Association of Asian Universities, held the International Student Forum «Kyrgyzstan-Asia 2015. Association of Asian Universities» (on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, sanatorium «Ak-Danis»).
The main objectives of the Forum were: to attract young people from Asian countries to the implementation of international cultural, humanitarian, educational, sports and educational projects, and to hold international youth events;
intensification of scientific, educational and cultural cooperation between universities in Asia; development of network educational and scientific interaction between countries and universities in Asia, including within the framework of associations of universities, such as «Association of Asian Universities».
The forum participants included students, young teachers, scientists and other representatives of university communities of leading universities in the Asian part of Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, India, and Tajikistan.
The work was carried out in 8 sections, where over the course of two days, with the active participation of experienced experts, students – forum participants presented their projects in the field of science, intercultural relations, social standards of education, etc. More than 150 participants took part in the work of the platforms, more than 60 reports were presented – personal and collective – most of them were accompanied by video presentations. Based on the results of the sections’ work, experts proposed creating a section dedicated to youth and, especially, university creativity at the next forum.
At the final meeting, experts selected the most interesting and practically feasible projects. They will soon be included in the program of activities of the Association of Asian Universities.
The forum also hosted master classes, training project sessions, competitions of student creative and scientific works, and national sports competitions. As part of the forum, a festival of student creativity «Asia Lights the Lights» was held, at which a cultural and creative program of the best student groups and performers of the participating countries was presented.
As part of the teleconference, a teleconference was held between the participants of the II Asian Student Forum «Kyrgyzstan-Asia – 2015» All-Russian Student Forum (Rostov-on-Don) and the Eastern Economic Forum (Vladivostok), in which Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Yuryevna Golodets.
A coordination meeting was organized to discuss the results and prospects for developing cooperation within the Association of Asian Universities.
On the coast of Issyk-Kul, an excursion to the cultural center of Rukh-Ordo was organized for forum participants.
