The date of the professional holiday was not chosen by chance. On this day, the outstanding Russian scientist and educator Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, one of the founders of Russian education and Moscow State University, was born.
Just like many years ago, it is thanks to your knowledge that scientific discoveries are made and the economy develops. New generations of professionals are being raised in all areas that determine the future of our country. This requires endurance and complete dedication.
The President declared 2023 the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. The head of state especially emphasized that it is necessary to increase the prestige of teaching, which consists of competence and authority, and the quality of professional training. Therefore, it is very important to continuously improve and master modern technologies, without which no area can do now. So that the graduates you have trained can become highly qualified specialists in their chosen fields.
Today, in conditions of external pressure, when issues of technological sovereignty and the development of breakthrough projects and the development of our own production are especially acute, much depends on the further improvement of the higher education system. This is one of the priorities of government policy.
