Upgrading KRSU: everything is going according to plan!
At the end of June, key employees of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) visited the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) as part of the implementation of the SPbPU-KRSU roadmap signed in April 2024. The KRSU delegation was headed by First Vice-Rector Azamat Naimanbaev. The purpose of the visit included getting to know SPbPU, summing up the results of the first stages of implementation of the plan for 2024 and agreeing on joint tasks for July-August.
The SPbPU-KRSU roadmap aims to transform KRSU into a leading university in Kyrgyzstan offering advanced engineering education. The Polytechnic University has been appointed coordinator-mentor for the modernization of engineering education at KRSU, which should begin the new academic year in an updated format.
During the visit, representatives of KRSU studied in detail the processes, models and mechanisms of SPbPU. Meetings were held with the management and specialists of the Polytechnic University to discuss digitalization, distance education and other key aspects. Agreements were reached on a visit of representatives of SPbPU to KRSU to analyze the information infrastructure and develop recommendations.
One of KRSU's priorities is to develop a distance education system and create a pool of online courses. SPbPU, as a leader in this field, offered an advanced training program for more than 100 teachers and specialists of KRSU in 2024.
The modernization of curricula and internships was also discussed. Meetings at key institutes of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University made it possible to work out curricula, agree on inclusive education for KRSU students and joint scientific projects.
The visit ended with meetings with the leadership of SPbPU and representatives of institutes to discuss the results of work, plans for the future and preparations for the new academic year. Issues of digitalization of KRSU and the formation of human capital management policies were discussed.
Thus, the visit confirmed that the modernization of KRSU is going according to plan, and cooperation with SPbPU will allow the university to achieve its goals in the shortest possible time.
