Young researchers discussed the problems of sustainable economic development
On May 20, the Department of National Economy and Regional Development KRSU held an interuniversity scientific and practical conference of young researchers on the topic: «Problems of sustainable economic development in the context of modern challenges».
The purpose of the event is – to promote the formation of a scientific and educational environment that stimulates research in the field of sustainable development of the national economy, creating favorable conditions for conducting interdisciplinary research on socio-economic, political, institutional and behavioral factors in economic development.
The conference was attended by students, undergraduates, graduate students from KRSU, BSU, KSTU, MUK, OshSU, who shared the results of their research in the field of sustainable economic development at various levels: global, regional and national.
In his welcoming address to the conference participants, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of KRSU V. Lelevkin drew attention to the need not only for theoretical understanding, but also for developing practical proposals on issues of sustainable development of the national economy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of modern challenges. Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Professor S. Usmanov wished fruitful work to the young scientists participating in the conference.
Leading teachers of the Department of National Economy and Regional Development KRSU – professors A. Ayupov, R. Bazarbayeva and A. Abdurashitov set the pace of the discussion, focusing on the economic aspects of sustainable development, national programs for implementing the concept of sustainable development through the prism «of a green economy», environmental crisis and its manifestations at the global, regional and local levels.
KRSU students prepared interesting presentations on the problems of the circular economy, green building, environmental issues, consumer protection from «harmful» goods, rational use of natural resources, social development and poverty alleviation and many others.
In conclusion, those gathered came to the conclusion that Kyrgyzstan must follow the path of changing approaches and methods of solving economic, political, social, and environmental problems in the direction of a new vector of sustainable development, designed to ensure harmonious coordination of three key components – economics, ecology and social development.
Based on the results of the conference, the participants who made presentations were awarded certificates.
