Young specialists from KRSU will take part in the «Summer Institute — 2024» in Moscow

From July 29 to August 11, 2024, young specialists from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) will take part in the educational program «Summer Institute — 2024», which will be held at the Russian State Humanitarian University (RGGU) in Moscow. This event was organized on behalf of and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Federal State Institution «Sociocenter».

The additional professional education program entitled «Historical processes in the Eurasian space: methodology and new approaches to study» is aimed at specialists under the age of 35 and covers training in the areas of history and preservation of cultural heritage.

Thematic blocks of the program

The program will offer participants lectures and practical classes on the following thematic blocks:

- Digital humanities. Historian in a modern information environment: Participants will explore modern digital technologies and their applications in the humanities.

- Scientific and pedagogical schools of Russian humanities: Lectures will be devoted to various scientific and pedagogical schools in Russia.

- History of science and technology — common heritage for the sake of the future of Eurasia: The topics of the classes will cover the history of scientific and technological achievements in the Eurasian space.

- History and modern processes of Eurasian integration: Participants will learn about current processes and prospects for Eurasian integration.

- Comprehensive historical regional studies and regional studies of Greater Eurasia: The classes will be devoted to a detailed study of the countries and regions of Greater Eurasia.

- Methodology for research into the history of international relations — modern approaches: Participants will be presented with the latest methodological approaches in the study of international relations.

Additional opportunities for participants

As part of the program, students will be offered one-day internships at Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, which will provide a unique opportunity to meet leading Russian scientists and researchers in the field of history and humanities.

Participation in the «Summer Institute — 2024» provides young professionals from KRSU with a unique opportunity to improve their skills, expand their knowledge and establish professional connections in the international community of historians and humanities scholars.
