A student scientific and practical conference «Height of Knowledge: Mountains as the intersection of science and creativity» was held at the Faculty of Science and Technology KRSU
A student scientific and practical conference dedicated to International Mountain Day was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
The conference brought together students, teachers and experts from various fields of science to discuss a wide range of issues related to mountain regions. The main theme of the event was the study of mountains as a unique space where scientific research and creative approaches intersect.
The conference was conducted in the following areas:
Medicine: the influence of mountain climate on health, methods for preventing hypoxia and altitude sickness, as well as the possibility of using medicinal mud and mineral springs were discussed.
Economy: prospects for the development of ecotourism, socio-economic challenges of small mountain settlements and sustainable use of natural resources are considered.
Technical sciences: participants presented innovative developments for power supply to high mountain settlements, monitoring mountain collapses and ensuring the safety of climbers.
Architecture and construction: environmental approaches to the design of tourism infrastructure and landscape architecture in the mountains were discussed.
Humanities: Participants explored the role of mountains in culture, history and art, as well as the challenges of preserving the languages and ethnic identities of mountain peoples.
Jurisprudence: special attention was paid to legal issues of ecosystem protection, protection of cultural heritage and international cooperation in the management of mountain areas.
International relations: there were presentations on transboundary cooperation, environmental initiatives and international policies for sustainable mountain development.
The conference ended with a discussion where participants discussed the prospects for an interdisciplinary approach to the study of mountain areas.
