The VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum started in Issyk-Kul

Today, the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum and the XII Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference — one of the largest platforms for discussing issues of economic cooperation, investment and development of the Eurasian space began in the Issyk-Kul region.A delegation of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, led by Rector Sergei Volkov, takes part in the forum.On the first day, a visiting session of the international expert forum «Primakov Readings» is being held, dedicated to the topic: «Economic development of Central Asia in conditions of global instability: risks and opportunities».Opening the session, Director of IMEMO RAS, Corresponding Member of the RAS Fyodor Voitolovsky emphasized the importance of holding the forum in Kyrgyzstan.«„Primakov Readings“ — this is an annual large scientific and expert forum dedicated to current issues of the world economy, politics and international security. For 11 years now it has remained the largest platform of its kind in Russia. For nine years we have been holding visiting sessions to develop contacts with our friends and partners in different countries. Thank Kyrgyzstan for the opportunity to host this meeting on hospitable Kyrgyz soil».During the day, representatives of government authorities, the scientific community, business and leading expert centers of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and other countries will discuss the prospects for the development of the region, integration processes, transport corridors, investment cooperation and joint projects.KRSU traditionally takes an active part in key international discussion platforms that unite education, science, government and business.
