Histology experts were identified at the medical department

On December 14, at the Department of Histology, Embryology and Cytology KRSU, an Olympiad was held among 2nd year students of medical, dental and pediatric affairs «Histology experts. What? Where? Why?». This year the traditional competition was held online.

The Olympiad, attended by more than 30 students, consisted of three stages: «Creative homework» (team stage), «Testing in general and partial histology» and «Description of the micropreparation» (individual stages). The jury included the head of the department of histology, embryology and cytology, associate professor Olga Kalugina, associate professors Elena Sharova and Elena Filipchenko, senior lecturer Azamat Ryskulov and teacher Rami Daher.

In the homework, the first place was taken by the team «Spleniki» (Baikanur Kulmamatov, Rafiz Hasanov, Minara Soodalieva, Gulnaza Kadyrova, Shirin Murzaeva, Adelia Vasilenko, Rakhima Nasyrova, Chyngyz Aibekov and Adel Akylbekova), and the winner of the Histology Olympiad was Rafiz Gasanov by unanimous decision of the jury.

After the announcement of the results of the Olympiad, senior teacher A. Ryskulov noted that the main goal of the competition – unity of second-year students, in-depth study of histology both scientifically and in literary and artistic terms – was achieved in full.
