The Faculty of Medicine hosted an Olympiad dedicated to World Anatomy Day

November 24 at the Medical Faculty of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B. Yeltsin hosted an interuniversity student morphological Olympiad dedicated to World Anatomy Day.

The organizers were the Department of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operational Surgery KRSU and the Department of Human Anatomy named after. Academician Yu. Borodin NSMU (Novosibirsk).

The organizing committee and jury included: deputy. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Associate Professor R. Karaeva, Head. Department of Anatomy and OKHTA, Associate Professor B. Gubanov, Head. Department of Histology, Associate Professor O. Kalugina, Professor V. Gabitov, Associate Professor of the Department of Anatomy and OKHTA A. Beisembayev (responsible executive), Art. teacher A. Gabaidulin (all – KRSU); Associate Professor Department of Human Anatomy named after. Academician Yu. Borodin NSMU P. Elyasin (Russian Federation); Head. department of Normal and Topographic Anatomy of KSMA, Associate Professor T. Abaeva; Head Department of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy of the Andijan State Medical Institute, Associate Professor Z. Kakharov (Uzbekistan).

Participants of the competition – 5 teams of 6 students – represented KRSU and KSMA. For the first time in 2 years, the Olympiad took place in a traditional offline format.

The event consisted of the following stages: «4 pictures – 1 word», <TAG1>Theoretical anatomy«, «Sapienti sat» (What? Where? When?), <TAG1> Eponyms«, <TAG1>Where is the logic?«, <TAG1> Clinical anatomy«, <TAG1>Anatomical puzzles», «Entertaining anatomy», «Anagrams», «History of anatomy» and «Histological competition».

The Olympics were held in a friendly atmosphere, all participants demonstrated excellent knowledge of medicine.

By unanimous decision of the jury, the prizes were distributed as follows:

1st place <TAG1> team –Enigma» KRSU and command «Ultraencephalon» KSMA.

2nd place <TAG1> command – Histologists«KRSU and command »Renaissance» KSMA.

3rd place <TAG1> team –Navi» KRSU.
