The national stage of the international student competition organized by Saint-Gobain has ended. 18 teams from different universities in Bishkek took part in the regional final.
Two-stage student competition «Multicomfort by Saint-Gobain» – is an international competition based on the principles of Saint-Gobain's multicomfort solutions.
The first final was organized by the «Saint-Gobain ISOVER» division in Serbia in 2004, and already in 2005 the competition received international status. The latest event, held in Milan, attracted more than 2,200 students from 34 countries.
The goal of the current international student competition assignment «Multicomfort» was to develop a sustainability park that combines residential, educational and entertainment functions. Participants needed to transform the zones of the post-industrial Coignet Enterprise site in Saint-Denis into a flourishing area for living, learning and relaxing, taking into account both the historical heritage and sustainable development needs of the modern area.
Students were required to develop:
• Master plan with the organization of the entire site, determine its nature and internal functional connections;
• Develop a housing stock consisting of 250-300 apartments, as well as an elementary school with a kindergarten;
• Ideas for the restoration and reconstruction of historical sites on the territory;
• Develop a sustainable development park and functional link with the surrounding areas and the Seine embankment.
For the last three years, students of the Department of Design and Restoration of Architectural Heritage KRSU have become finalists and prize-winners of the national stage.
Traditionally, the winners of the competition are awarded a trip to the city where the international final of the competition will be held –this time it was Paris.
Children who win other prizes will receive cash prizes and valuable gifts.
For the third year in a row, the winners were designers KRSU under the leadership of associate professors Yulia Rudenko and Beisen Kariev: Aziret Tumenbaev and Yulia Seitbekova took first place, Daria Alyaeva and Roman Kotenko took second place, Yulia Kozyreva and Olesya Sergienko won third place.
Adinai Isakova and Aisuluu Arykova received a special nomination from the company «Bifors». Alina and Alisa Slyusarev won in the nomination «Unique Project». Finally, Denis Rudenko and Anna Shiyan won in the «Creative Approach» category.
