On February 10, an exhibition «Trade, Tourism and Culture: North-Eastern Region of India» dedicated to the common heritage of the Indian and Kyrgyz peoples took place in the foyer of the main building of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
The opening of the exhibition, which included works of art, artifacts and colorful vignettes about travel and life in India, was preceded by a meeting between the rector of KRSU, academician Vladimir Nifadiev p Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Kyrgyzstan Alok Amitabh Dimri, who performed a traditional Indian ritual – lit a lamp placed on the stage of the large assembly hall of the university. Then the guests of the event witnessed a colorful cultural program with dances and songs of Kyrgyzstan and the friendly people of India.
The event continued in the conference hall of the university – there were overview presentations on tourism in India and Kyrgyzstan, as well as international trade between the two countries.
2022 – Cross Year of Culture and Friendship between the Kyrgyz Republic and India, and KRSU immediately joined the process, acting as a universal platform for the transfer of joint experience, interaction between the teaching staff, business and media communities of the two countries.
