Busy February for doctors
Interesting scientific and practical events will take place this and next week within the walls of KRSU and the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA).
The two leading universities of the republic, having united with other related educational and scientific institutions, decided to celebrate 2020, declared the cross year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, with several large events designed to raise the problems of modern medicine that are relevant for both countries and to unite the efforts of specialists in solving them.
13 February surgeons and transplantology are starting: the opening of the III Scientific and Practical Conference «Difficulties and Errors in Surgery and Transplantology» will take place, organized by KRSU, KSMA, the National Hospital under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Higher School of Medicine (ICM) of the International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUC). The personal initiators of this meeting are famous surgeons, professors Vladimir Zagainov (Nizhny Novgorod), Ivan Porshennikov (Novosibirsk) and Bakhadyr Bebezov (Bishkek).
At the opening of the conference (at 12.00, in the new Conference Hall of KSMA named after. AND. K. Akhunbaev) participants (and this is about 40 prominent Russian and over 50 Kyrgyz specialists) will be welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic A. S. Omurbekova, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic K. S. Cholponbaev, the rector of KSMA, Professor I. O. Kudaibergenova and other officials.
The surgical forum will last two days, during which specialists will not only exchange medical experience, but also perform a number of complex on-site operations.
14 February the surgical community will be replaced in the Great Assembly Hall of KRSU at 13.00 by a solid audience of leading ophthalmologists and neonatologists of our country. The topic of the conference will be the problem of low vision in premature babies, because about 80% of them are at risk and may suffer from retinopathy, which can lead to blindness. For many years, Doctor of Medical Sciences M. A. Medvedev, now head of the Department of Ophthalmology at KRSU, and his colleagues, as well as neonatologists of Kyrgyzstan who interact with them, have been dealing with the prevention of such complications and the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity (PN).
The final event of February will be the 1st visiting scientific and practical school-conference of the Russian Scientific Society of Immunologists (RNOI) in the Kyrgyz Republic, which will be held from February 18 to 22 on the basis of KRSU and the Medical Academy with the participation of KSMIPiPK (Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training), NCOMiD (National Center for Maternal and Child Health), OshSU, MVSM and other interested organizations including regional hospitals and Family Medicine Centers (FMC). Leading positions in organizing and conducting the conference school will be taken by the departments of immunology, epidemiology, and hygiene of leading medical universities.
On the Russian side, the participation of the President of the Russian Scientific Research Institute, scientific director of the Institute of Immunology and Physiology of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician V.I., is expected. Chereshnev, Secretary General of the Russian Scientific Research Institute, Professor I. A. Tuzankina, member of the RNOI secretariat, senior researcher M. A. Bolkov. Guests will give a number of lectures and conduct master classes on immunology as the basis of medicine. It is planned to hear more than 30 scientific reports from Kyrgyzstan. The practical part of the event will consist of clinical examinations of patients.
All participants in the conference school (more than 317 people) will receive certificates indicating the number of credit hours.
