Appointed acting rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University
By joint decision, Denis Valerievich Fomin-Nilov was appointed acting rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B. Yeltsin (KRSU). The order was signed by Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science Konstantin Mogilevsky and Acting Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulanbek Usekov.
During a meeting at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Denis Fomin-Nilov made a presentation of the new strategy for the development of the university. The promising model will be based on the creation of modern educational, research and social infrastructure, the formation of human resources in the interests of cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
Denis Fomin-Nilov has an academic degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences, the author of numerous scientific works, articles, monographs and textbooks. He worked in various leadership positions and has headed the State University of Humanities since 2017. He devoted more than 20 years to work at the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where to this day he works as a senior researcher. Since 2009, he has been combining work in a scientific and educational journal «History».
Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was founded in 1993. The university provides training in more than 100 educational programs. Currently, 7 thousand people study at the university. The most popular areas of training: «Clinical medicine», «Economics and management», «Jurisprudence».
