A new book about the feat
The publishing house KRSU has prepared a book by the vice-rector of the university Leonid Sumarokov «Front Roads of People's Deputies» for publication. «Front Roads...» – this is a collection of documentary essays revealing an unknown page in the activities of deputies of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR of the first convocation (elected in 1938) – their participation in the battle against fascism.
The essays are based on a scientific study of previously unexplored archival materials. The collection describes examples of the dedication and courage of people's representatives on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, revealing the fate of some of them, who are still listed as missing. A significant number of historical documents have been put into scientific circulation. This allows us to assess the role and place of the deputy corps in solving responsible state tasks, the most important of which is the defense of the Fatherland, and to confirm the unity of the multinational people of the USSR in the fight against fascism.
The book, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, is intended for a wide range of readers.
