«Slavic universities were established in the former national republics of the Soviet Union as a means of preserving scientific and educational potential and opportunities for higher education for Russian-speaking youth. At the same time, the existence of Slavic universities was not simple. The difficult economic and political situation in the Kyrgyz and Tajik republics during this period also affected the capabilities of universities», – said the rector of the Siberian Federal University Maxim Rumyantsev.
The head of Siberian Federal University noted that Slavic universities have gone through a difficult path and have retained their scientific and educational potential.
As part of SFU's cooperation with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and the Russian-Tajik Slavic University, in order to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation and expand the joint scientific and educational space, the project «Russian space: science and education» has been intensified.
«This is an open educational resource aimed at expanding intercultural and scientific dialogue, providing access to a variety of online and offline training courses», – noted M. Rumyantsev.
«The proposed educational resource provides ample opportunities for navigation, participation in competitions and olympiads, and education for Tajik and Kyrgyz schoolchildren and students. Teachers and lecturers of Tajik and Kyrgyz schools and universities can undergo advanced training programs and gain access to educational and methodological cases on the use of digital technologies in teaching», – the rector specified.
