About the role of the family doctor

May 19 at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev held a republican conference dedicated to World Family Doctor Day.

The academy's conference hall brought together experts in family medicine from Switzerland, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, as well as teachers, clinical residents and students of KSMA and KRSU.

The first part of the ceremonial meeting was dedicated to the Republican Olympiad of Residents «Healthy Self – Healthy Family», during which teams from KSMA and KRSU presented their poster presentations, solved clinical problems, and also participated in a blitz quiz on a clinical topic. The team of residents of the Department of Family Medicine KRSU «Pulse» performed well, receiving certificates of participation.

The second part of the conference was in the nature of a symposium and was held in line with the discussion of organizational and clinical problems of family medicine and general medical practice. After the welcoming speech by the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic G. Baatyrova, reports were heard on the organization of family medicine services in the UK, Switzerland and Kazakhstan, and clinical issues related to the provision of palliative care and the fight against chronic pain, antibiotic resistance, early diagnosis of heart failure and Colleagues from different countries ave., doctors, teachers, residents and students took an active part in the discussion of reports and shared their own practical experience.

Overall, the last conference was a huge success. The exchange of international experience and interaction within the framework of clinical discussions made a deep impression on all participants and contributed to achieving an understanding of the importance of the role of the family doctor in the modern healthcare system.
