The dialogue was devoted to key areas of development of the university environment — from the quality of educational programs to the modernization of infrastructure and student support.
During the discussion, special attention was paid to the issues of academic debt, including the International Institute of Humanitarian Education (MIGA), as well as the admission of applicants and the development of additional professional education programs.
The Faculty of Humanities focused on the need for a practice-oriented approach to final qualifying papers so that students' scientific research finds real application.
The Faculty of Law discussed the development of laboratories and a legal clinic, student participation in scientific projects, conferences and practice. Teachers noted that when updating equipment and purchasing new classrooms, there are still classrooms that require repairs. It was decided to update the information on the university website so that it fully reflects the capabilities of the faculties and the directions of their development.
A separate point of the meeting was the consideration of issues related to the development of the KRSU — endowment fund its strengthening will increase the financial stability of the university and support student initiatives. We also discussed preparations for the International Forum named after. Chingiz Aitmatov, which will be held in December, and measures to stimulate active students participating in scientific and creative projects.
There was a proposal to use the recreation center «Zhashtyk» to hold spring on-site lectures and meetings with students. The idea has received support as an effective way to make the educational process more lively and dynamic.
Summing up, Sergei Volkov emphasized the importance of such meetings:
«Such conversations should be held not only at meetings of academic councils, but also in direct dialogue with faculty teams. It helps to see the real situation, hear people and find solutions together».
