The first students of KRSU began their studies at the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University
This year, as part of cooperation between the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) and the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU), the first 30 students from Kyrgyzstan began studying at the Polytechnic. This step became part of a large-scale project for the development and modernization of engineering education at KRSU, implemented with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
The project includes updating curricula, conducting design and analytical sessions, monitoring the activities of KRSU and ensuring access for students and teachers to SPbPU online courses. Students from KRSU will undergo long-term internships in nine educational programs at five SPbPU institutes, including such areas as «Industrial and civil construction of unique buildings and structures», «Technosphere safety», «Electrical stations», «Intelligent information processing and control systems» and others.
At the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the beginning of the academic year, KRSU students were greeted by Nikita Golovin, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Head of the Project Office «Slavic Universities». He emphasized the importance of this experience for the professional development of students and their integration into the digital economy.
«Your arrival at SPbPU — is an important step in implementing our interaction with KRSU. We are confident that the knowledge and skills you gain from us will be an important contribution to your future. We will create favorable conditions for you to learn and adapt to a new environment», — noted Nikita Golovin.
Students were also welcomed by representatives of the relevant institutes, who introduced them to the curricula and provided information materials on class schedules and internal regulations.
One of the students, Daniel Kutmanov, who chose the direction «Software Engineering», shared his impressions: «I was impressed by the high organization of work at the Polytechnic and the attentive attitude of the university staff. I'm looking forward to the start of the semester to quickly immerse myself in my studies».
The implementation of these programs is carried out within the framework of the state task to improve the efficiency of KRSU in training engineering personnel for the digital economy.
