«KRSU-2022 Student Initiation»: how it was (photo gallery)
October 27 at the capital's Sports Palace named after. K. Kozhomkula held a solemn celebration – «Initiation as a student at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University-2022». This evening ours freshmen officially they became part of a large and friendly KRSU family.
The entrance exams, worries and anxieties are behind us, and it would seem that it is still so far from the first session, and between these two events a bright, eventful university time has already arrived. In the coming years, first-year students will have to plunge into the educational process and study many unknown topics and subjects. This is the period in life when the future is entirely in their hands.
The rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, academician Vladimir Nifadiev, employees of the rector's office, deans and representatives of faculties addressed the first-year students with parting words. They congratulated the newly minted students with the beginning of an important stage in their lives, they wished them to achieve heights in their studies and creativity, and vivid impressions from their students.
A highlight of the evening was a video greeting and parting words to the first-year students from Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of the USSR State Prize, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, international master of sports, multiple USSR champion in mountaineering Mikhail Chokkaevich Zalikhanov:
«For me, a person who has experienced the taste of knowledge on the fertile Kyrgyz land, it gives me special pleasure to say words of greeting and parting words to the first-year students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on the occasion of initiation into students.
The life of a student is close and understandable to me. I say this with full responsibility. After graduating from high school in the village of Ivanovka, Chui region, Kyrgyz SSR, I completed a full course of study at the physics, mathematics, engineering, technical, and agricultural faculties of Kabardino-Balkarian State University. My intensive studies were associated with a great desire to understand the world, to reveal the secrets of nature. On the campaign for knowledge, I experienced great pleasure in life and the confidence that everything I knew at the university would serve my country and my people. This is the main meaning and purpose of any student’s stay within the walls of a higher educational institution.
Today is the day when you, my young friends, will have to realize a simple truth – the knowledge and skills that will equip you at the university will outline the horizons of future creative activity. It is in creation and usefulness to society that I see human happiness, the harmony of all aspects of human life.
Take everything valuable and useful from studying at your wonderful and unique university. Your first assistants and reliable mentors will be university teachers. I know – they are professionals in their field and worthy teachers. They will help you!
Remember an important fact: students – this is a time of discovery, love and joy. Use this circumstance to become a worthy citizen of your country and a person of high culture.
Therefore, I congratulate you, my fellow countrymen, on the beginning of the great campaign for knowledge. May you be accompanied in it by reliable, searching fellow travelers, charging you with energy and enthusiasm, setting you up for great achievements.
Dear Vladimir Ivanovich! My time-tested friend! You are a wise man! I am confident that you, together with the teaching staff, will do everything to ensure that your students become worthy successors to the traditions of the university of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, so that they are inspired and find their purpose.

After parting words, numerous spectators of the celebration were presented with a large concert program prepared by participants in the studios of the Youth Center for Culture and Creativity KRSU and friends of the university – creative teams of Kyrgyzstan. The artists performed vocal compositions, dances, read poems, and showed skits «From student life».
