The representative of KRSU was awarded the SCO Women's Forum

Representatives of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University take part in the Women's Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization «Women's Leadership», which takes place in Bishkek as part of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship of the SCO in 2026.KRSU is represented at the forum by the director of the Higher School of Russian Language and Bilingual Education Almira Gatina and Deputy Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Kanayim Baktygulova.As a result of the forum, Almira Gatina was awarded for her contribution to the development of education, strengthening international humanitarian cooperation and promoting initiatives aimed at supporting women's leadership.The forum brought together representatives of government bodies of the SCO member countries, international organizations, the expert community, public associations, women entrepreneurs and leaders of civil initiatives. The main theme of the event was expanding the role of women in socio-political and economic life, as well as creating new opportunities for their participation in the sustainable development of the SCO states.The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulan Mamatkanov, ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbaeva, heads of government bodies and international organizations.Over the course of two days, participants discuss women's leadership, women's participation in decision-making, economic development, gender equality and strengthening regional cooperation.The participation of representatives of KRSU in one of the key international platforms held within the framework of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in the SCO confirms the active involvement of the university in the development of international humanitarian, scientific and educational cooperation, as well as in the promotion of educational and scientific initiatives at the international level.
