Teachers and students of KRSU took part in a seminar on the use of medicines in clinical practice

On February 16, the Department of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology KRSU organized a seminar on the use of drugs in clinical practice, taking into account scientifically based data.

PhD, MD, head of the course of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy Yuri Yuryevich Kiselev (University «OsloMet», Norway) were invited to give lectures.

The seminar was organized as part of the development of international relations with leading universities and experts on clinical pharmacology, strengthening scientific and practical interaction with clinical bases, Department of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology KRSU and NCTC named after. M. Mirrakhimova.

Y. Kiselev gave lectures on the topics «Safety of neuro- and psychotropic drugs in general medical practice», «Medical myths and established misconceptions about drugs».

At the lectures, they discussed the latest data on the safe use of psychotropic drugs, the problems of using drugs without an evidence base, which are widely used among the population and are present in the prescriptions of practicing doctors.

The lectures were attended by teachers from KRSU, KSMA, doctors from healthcare organizations, and students of our university.
