Russian language teachers from universities in Bishkek – together at a communication lesson at KRSU
From November 14 to 16, Russian language teachers gathered in the main building and at the Faculty of Humanities of KRSU for a training course «Modern Russian language lesson in a multicultural environment». The seminars took place on the initiative of the Russian Humanitarian Mission (g. Moscow) and with the support of the Russian Language Department KRSU.
Over the course of several days, Russian students from five departments of Russian language at universities in Bishkek: KRSU, BSU, KNU (two departments) and KSU (34 people in total) – improved their knowledge and experience in master classes dedicated to discussing Russian language lessons based on a communicative approach.
During three classes, lecturer – junior researcher at the Laboratory of Cognitive and Linguistic Research GIRYA named after. A. Pushkin K. Rodionova – demonstrated the features of the communicative lesson of the Russian language: its design, construction and the effectiveness of using active methods, technologies and techniques to solve communicative problems in language teaching. She presented the audience with a detailed analysis of modern textbooks on the Russian language and showed ways to transform language and speech tasks into communicative ones using interactive methods in both foreign and national audiences.
The second block of master classes was conducted by A. Orlov, teacher of the RKI Department of UNESCO ISGO MPGU. These were classes on regional studies. In a discussion form, various methods of conducting virtual excursions when teaching the Russian language based on cultural material were discussed in pairs. The teacher also demonstrated a variety of high-quality Internet resources for organizing educational creative activities of students in a Russian language lesson.
At the end of the training course, the results of the classes were summed up and certificates were awarded to all participants in the program and a set of books for the departments. Undoubtedly, for teachers these three days of training were productive and will be useful in their professional activities, which unite them all in the common cause of teaching the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan.
The Russian humanitarian mission follows the generally recognized international principles of providing humanitarian assistance: humanity, neutrality, impartiality.
One of the priorities of study programs of the Russian Humanitarian Mission is education support programs aimed at popularizing the Russian language. Among them, the following can be highlighted: the creation of smart Russian language classes in schools and preschool institutions; replenishment of municipal and school libraries with literature in Russian; conducting master classes for teachers of Russian as a foreign language; sending Russian language teachers to schools and universities for permanent work; holding international competitions for teachers of Russian language and literature, a reading competition for schoolchildren. Over the entire period of work since 2015, the Russian Humanitarian Mission has renovated and equipped 30 classrooms and corners of the Russian language, and delivered more than 200,000 books in Russian to foreign schools and libraries.
This is not the first year that the Russian Humanitarian Mission has supported initiatives to popularize the Russian language and implemented educational projects in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. From December 2019 to August 2021, an International Competition for Teachers «Russian Language in Kyrgyzstan – New Horizons» was held, the winners of which spent a week in the Russian capital and visited the main literary museums and attractions of Moscow. In 2020, the opening of a Russian language classroom at the school took place № 2 Karakol. The Russian Humanitarian Mission made repairs to the classroom, purchased the latest technical equipment and furniture, and replenished the library collection. In 2021, in schools in Karakol and. Corners of Russian literature were opened in Kyzyl-Suu, for the creation of which the RGM sent about 2,000 books. Previously, the Russian Humanitarian Mission, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, with the assistance of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, delivered 21,280 textbooks in Russian to Kyrgyzstan. Textbooks were received by 16 secondary schools in the Tyupsky district of the Issyk-Kul region (Oy-Tal, Kudurgu, Ak-Bulun, Kurmenty, Tyup, Taldy-Suu, Bayzak, Toguz-Bulak, Issyk-Kul, Mikhailovka, Frunze, Balbay, Semenovka, Kazhysai and Karakol).
