The project «Greater Altai» highly appreciated the work of the scientist KRSU
Professor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B. Yeltsin, Doctor of Historical Sciences Gulmira Dzhunushalieva, in parallel with her work, is studying for the second year in the joint international educational program of the Scientific Center for Altaic Studies and Turkology «Greater Altai» «Social security of the Greater Altai media space».
Professor Gulmira Dzhunushalieva’s scientific interests include the topic of the Turko-Slavic world. In the fall of 2022, she prepared three scientific articles on it, two of them – in collaboration with colleagues from Altai State University, which are scheduled for publication in the near future.
The article «The current state of the media environment in the context of the security of the Turkic-Slavic world» was written jointly with colleagues from Altai State University for a collective monograph, which will be published at the Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University. ON THE. Dobrolyubova. The Altai State University journal Society and Security Insights will publish an article «Information agenda of the Turkic-Slavic world in the context of image positioning of states», written in collaboration with Altai State University professor Alla Kovaleva. An article «The Turkic-Slavic World: Restoring Sociocultural Relations» will be published in a collection of articles by the Department of Media Communications, Advertising Technologies and Public Relations of Altai State University.
– All articles are devoted to different aspects, but are related to common issues, since they were written in the context of the general project theme of the Greater Altai media space – professor Gulmira Dzhunushalieva told. – Since the beginning of 2022, the regional and global levels have been facing a difficult and at times turbulent political situation, the media sphere is subject to intense information pressure, and attempts have been made to improve its political image in conditions of geopolitical instability. The Turkic-Slavic information agenda provides material for a short-term forecast and identification of the emerging vector in information coverage of current events.
The professor also added that she is a supporter of preserving and promoting Turkic-Slavic unity and interaction, which is especially relevant for post-Soviet states.
– 30 years of experiments in separate statehood building have not been spectacularly successful. I would say that we have all turned into a platform for testing various political, economic and social technologies on the part of global and regional political actors. Only in unity, awareness of one’s common interests and strengthening partnership is resilience possible in responding to modern challenges," the professor noted.
