The project of FADIS teachers became the best in the competition!
The winners of an open competition for «The best project of a series of low-rise residential buildings of the estate type for the conditions of Kyrgyzstan», organized by the Union of Architects of the Kyrgyz Republic, the public foundation Unison Group, Gosstroy of the Kyrgyz Republic, within the framework of the project «Promoting the inclusion of internal migrants in the process of green renovation in Kyrgyzstan», have been determined.
Qualified and experienced architectural design companies of Kyrgyzstan, as well as foreign architectural studios, took part in the competition.
The purpose of the competition was to select the best design proposal for a residential building that meets the criteria for green construction. Given the importance of reducing carbon emissions and optimizing resource use, creating model architectural designs based on the criteria of energy-passive houses is a key step towards sustainable construction.
The basic requirements for «green» houses are
• Energy passivity, low energy consumption.
•Environmentally friendly, use of environmentally friendly materials that have a low «carbon footprint».
• Due to the fact that houses are planned to be built for internal migrants, affordability was an important criterion.
The competition jury consisted of experienced architects and experts from the Union of Architects of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Institute of Earthquake-Resistant Construction and Engineering Design, the International Organization for Migration, and the public foundation «Unison Group».
48 projects from different countries were submitted to the competition.
The competition participants made a presentation and defense of their works in front of a professional jury.
By unanimous decision of the jury, first place was awarded to the project developed by architects Beisen Kariev and Yulia Rudenko. Both architects are teachers of the Department «Design of the Architectural Environment» of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
