The project «School of Young Personnel» at the Jogorku Kenesh was presented to KRSU students

A presentation of the project «School of Young Personnel», implemented under the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The programme aims at involving young people in public administration and forming a talent pool for the civil service.The meeting brought together a full hall of 3–4 year students who showed interest in professional development opportunities in the field of state and parliamentary activities.Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy Stanislav Kulikov addressed the students with a welcoming speech.«Student is the best time to shape your future. The relationships you build with classmates, teachers and university partners will play an important role in your future career. It is very important to use the training period to gain practical experience, including through internships and participation in student teams. We actively interact with government agencies and create professional growth opportunities for you», he noted.Askar Shaikidinov — Head of the Secretariat of the Youth Council under the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, First Deputy Chairman of the Youth Movement of Kyrgyzstan spoke about the project and its capabilities.«Our task is to give young people not only theoretical knowledge, but also real practical experience of working in parliament. Program participants will be able to see from the inside how government decisions are made and try themselves in this area», he noted.As part of the presentation, participants were presented in detail with the goals of the program, selection conditions and prospects that open up for young specialists.«Young Personnel School» is focused on developing leadership and analytical competencies, as well as developing practical skills in the field of public administration. The programme includes trainings, expert meetings and practical sessions covering key areas of parliamentary activity, including the legislative process, public policy and budget planning.A special feature of the project is the mentoring model «1 deputy - 1 trainee», within which each participant is assigned to a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh and gets the opportunity to directly adopt professional experience.The duration of the training is about 2.5 months and includes an intensive educational program with regular classes. Upon completion, participants undergo a year-long parliamentary practice, during which they are involved in the preparation of bills, participate in committee meetings and gain experience working in government agencies.Selection for the program is carried out on a competitive basis and includes submitting an online application, writing a motivational essay and passing an interview.The presentation generated high interest among students considering careers in public administration and parliamentary activities.
