Professor Gulmira Dzhunushalieva summed up the work of KRSU scientists in the project «Greater Altai»
Professor Gulmira Dzhunushalieva: «Greater Altai» helps preserve common civilizational values, and not replace them with an alien cultural surrogate.
– The opportunity to take part in the project «Greater Altai» became the outlet that gave me and my colleagues the opportunity not only to find new formats of cooperation with Russian scientists, but also to a certain extent to fill the vital need for communication.
The staff of our department for the most part grew up in the Soviet environment, which was alone on one sixth of the planet, and contained all the diversity of sociocultural, religious and other values. Over the years of independence, we have become so different (not distant!) in their political development, that they began to lose to some extent this general sociocultural baggage. Therefore, for me and my team, participation in the project is not formal. This is a meeting of like-minded people, a meeting of almost family people who are doing a common cause.
Altai, as the homeland of the Turkic peoples, who managed to spread their influence throughout the world, made a significant contribution to the historical and civilizational development of the Eurasian continent. In this regard, I see Greater Altai as a new modern format of interaction and mutual enrichment not only of Turkic-speaking peoples. This is a dialogue that unfolds simultaneously on several planes, almost like our lives. The only difference is that there are no accidents in the project, and all actions are planned. Communication – open, sincere and friendly. Such dialogue provides an incentive to develop and deepen scientific integration, involve the younger generation in solving research problems, and expand social ties.
A year after starting to join the project «Greater Altai», some results can be summed up. The results are impressive: participation in analytical and strategic sessions, conferences and forums gave us an incentive to exchange views, test our research projects, publication activity, and allow us to determine further research goals. Even at the level of our Department of Advertising and Public Relations of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, participation in the project resulted in significant digital and quality indicators.
It is necessary to continue our cooperation within the framework of the project, because our common past and present should provide the basis, incentive and imperatives for preserving common basic and civilizational values, and not replace them with an alien cultural surrogate.
