Professor KRSU G. Dzhunushalieva acted as the main speaker at the round table dedicated to Russian urbanism
The team of the project office of humanitarian analytics of the Moscow City held a round table «Russian urbanism: between originality and universality», where experts in the field of social management, sociology of the city, Eurasian cooperation discussed the development of modern cities and prospects for urban research.
Together with the Moscow City Pedagogical University, the organizers of the round table were the Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University named after N. Dobrolyubov, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B. Yeltsin, Irkutsk State University.
The discussion was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers, graduate students, adjuncts, students, representatives of business, public and government agencies.
The mission of the round table was to reveal the scientific and practical potential of interdisciplinary research of the city in relation to the discourse of cultural and historical development of society. The organizers sought to provide a comparative description and potential of urban research in the Eurasian space.
The discussion was aimed at integrating scientific and practical developments in the field of social urbanism in the context of current problems of historical and cultural knowledge, urban planning, city economics, and management of urban communications
The key speakers were Professor, Head of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations KRSU Gulmira Dzhunushalieva and Associate Professor, Senior Researcher of the International Laboratory «Technologies of Social and Humanitarian Research» of the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University. N. Dobrolyubova Yulia Kozlova.
Gulmira Dzhunushalieva’s speech revealed «Socio-historical contexts for the development of the Eurasian city». Professor KRSU revealed the key features of the Eurasian city and identified the historical factors of its formation.
G. Dzhunushalieva conducted a comparative historical analysis of the development of cities in the Eurasian macroregion, their history, culture, politics and economy in order to determine the criterion characteristics of the Eurasian city as a social phenomenon.
The scientist poses the problem of constructing an interdisciplinary model for studying a modern Eurasian city in order to improve the quality of the knowledge obtained and conduct systematic quantitative and qualitative research in the field of social urbanism.
