Professor KRSU spoke at the Kharak Forum
From November 2 to 5, the XXXVIII International Kharak Forum «Political space and social time: the power of symbols and the memory of generations» took place in Yalta (Russian Federation). Scientists from Serbia, Cyprus, Poland, Slovenia, India, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan took part in its work.
Kyrgyzstan was represented at the forum by KRSU professor Galina Danilchenko. She made a report online «Promotion of the Russian language – «soft power» in the language policy of Kyrgyzstan (using the example of the activities of KRSU)». The report caused a lively discussion, the participants of which noted the significant role of our university in promoting the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan. Section moderator Marina Lebedeva (MGIMO) offered to take part in the development of joint projects to promote the Russian language with Moscow universities, since this problem is very relevant in relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
