Professor Olga Cherkasova: «I’m glad that there are like-minded people in KRSU!»

Lectures by Olga Cherkasova, professor and leading researcher at the Institute of Automation and Electrometry of the SB RAS, are being held in the main building of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. They are devoted to terahertz radiation, its sources and applications in technology, safety equipment and modern biomedical scientific research.

The lectures were attended by teachers and staff of the medical and natural sciences faculties of KRSU.

– When a laboratory engineer microelectronics and semiconductor devices your university Kamil Moldosanov was doing a review article for an international journal; he was interested in some questions about the effect of terahertz radiation on biological objects, which he addressed to me. This is how common research ideas began to appear and scientific connections began to be established. And then I was invited to KRSU to give lectures to the teaching staff.

Here I met like-minded people – specialists who study issues close to the topic of terahertz radiation. At lectures we find common scientific ideas, discuss, share experiences," said O. Cherkasova.
