The Russian Academy of Sciences spoke about the exploits of Kyrgyzstanis in the Great Patriotic War
On July 5, the Russian Academy of Sciences presented the book «The Second World War and modern trends in distorting its results and the post-war world order». The new edition was the result of the XXIX Moiseev Readings – International Scientific and Practical Conference «Russia c XXI century: Great Patriotic War and historical memory» (June 21-23, 2021) and the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Russia in XXI century: The Great Patriotic War and historical memory. To the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi troops near Moscow» (December 7-8, 2021). During two scientific forums, scientific and practical recommendations were developed for further scientific research into the history of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War, and their use in the historical education of youth.
One of the organizers of the conferences was the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. His task was to organize the work of the section of historians of the Kyrgyz Republic at the RAS site. Speeches by representatives of BSU, KNU and KRSU were included in the presented book «The Second World War and modern trends in distorting its results and the post-war world order».
The presentation of this scientific publication, posted at the RSCI, was attended by scientists from leading scientific and scientific-educational organizations in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and a number of foreign countries, the leadership of the Soviet and Russian Peace Foundations. KRSU was represented by Vice-Rector for Information and Public Relations Leonid Sumarokov.
The book presented to the scientific community and the public provides greetings from KRSU Rector Vladimir Nifadiev to the participants of scientific forums. It says: «It is worth noting that our university is doing significant work to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War. On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, a collection of scientific and journalistic essays «Unity that defeated fascism» and a photo album of the same name were published. Work on scientific collections «Stalingrad Diary of Kyrgyzstan» (2018), «Front Roads of People's Deputies» (2020) made it possible to establish connections with various regions of Russia, opened unknown pages to the public about the participation of Kyrgyzstan and Kyrgyzstanis in the Great Patriotic War, and resurrected the names of soldiers considered missing. A book by Leonid Sumarokov presented at the June conference «Every heart beat like Brest!» it was transferred to all border outposts of the Kyrgyz Republic guarding the external borders of the CIS and the EAEU.
I can say one thing: interaction with the Russian Academy of Sciences allowed us to expand scientific research, deepen interaction with scientists from other countries, giving all work to preserve the memory of the feat of the generation of winners a systematic and practical character. In its essence, it is noble because it serves for the benefit of instilling in young people pride in their great ancestors and their great deeds».
