The Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty of Law of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Development of Criminal Legislation: Issues of Theory and Practice of Application.".
The main goal of the event was to create a platform for discussion on current aspects of the development of criminal legislation not only in the Kyrgyz Republic, but also abroad. The participants discussed the problems of criminal lawmaking, directions for the development of modern legislation and judicial practice, as well as issues of qualifying various types of crimes.
The conference was held in a hybrid format, allowing academics and practitioners to participate both in person and through online platforms. Among the participants were representatives not only of the Faculty of Law of KRSU, but also of other educational institutions, judges and representatives of legal associations from different countries.
Particular attention was paid to the analysis of modern trends in criminal law and criminology, as well as the exchange of experience between specialists from different countries. At the end of the conference, all participants expressed support for the idea of continuing scientific cooperation for the further development of criminal legislation and criminology.
