The rector and students of KRSU take part in the thematic session of the international forum «Eurasia is a territory of traditional values»

The National Center «Russia» is hosting a thematic session «Russian language - the code for the unification of Eurasia» within the framework of the International Public and Business Forum «Eurasia - the territory of traditional values». The rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov and university students take part in its work.The session is devoted to the formation of a single space of communication on the Eurasian continent, the role of language in the development of education, science and technological interaction, as well as the preservation of cultural diversity while strengthening interstate dialogue.800 experts from 33 countries participate in the forum. Among them are representatives of various professional communities: teachers, journalists, bloggers, doctors, political scientists, government officials, as well as specialists involved in the formation of the architecture of good neighborliness in the Eurasian space.As noted by the Chairman of the Council of the ANO «Eurasia», Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alena Arshinova: «The most important goal that the ANO “Eurasia” sets for itself is to support the foundations of our Eurasian identity. This is the work that Russian President Vladimir Putin is doing».The discussion centers on the importance of the Russian language as one of the key tools of communication and integration in the Eurasian space. As Alena Arshinova noted: «This is in demand. We have more applications from Kyrgyzstan to open dozens of centers. This work is planned».Representatives of government bodies, educational and international structures are taking part in the discussion, including the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, the Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulzat Isamatova, the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Korneev and others.During the discussion, special attention was paid to issues of academic mobility and personnel training. According to the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulzat Isamatova, Kyrgyzstan has requested from the Russian side an additional 300 grant places in universities of the Russian Federation. Previously, according to her, 700 places had already been allocated. As part of the recent visit of the torag of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Kyrgyz side also appealed to the Russian Minister of Education and Science with a proposal to increase the quota for training Russian language teachers.«This once again confirms the desire of our youth to study at Russian universities», Gulzat Isamatova emphasized.Separately, the minister noted the importance of the Russian language in the modern educational and scientific space: «The Russian language provides great opportunities for integration into scientific and technical processes in the Eurasian space, adaptation to modern challenges and finding one’s rightful place in this space».The session participants also focused on the role of language as a tool not only for cultural interaction, but also for economic development. In Kyrgyzstan, Russian continues to occupy an important place in the education system, with about 1.5 million schoolchildren studying it.A large-scale public and business forum «Eurasia - the territory of traditional values» is dedicated to the second anniversary of the ANO «Eurasia». During this time, the organization’s initiatives were supported by more than 120 thousand like-minded people from almost 40 countries.KRSU's participation in the thematic session reflects the involvement of the university and student community in key international humanitarian and educational processes.
