Every year, more than a thousand Kyrgyzstanis get the opportunity to study at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) for free thanks to the support of Russia, which allocates 100 thousand soms per place. In his exclusive interview with the Sputnik agency, Fomin-Nilov emphasized that over the past year KRSU has received a special status in the education system of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The new operating conditions of the university were ratified by the parliaments and presidents of the two countries.

The rector also noted that the university enrollment system has undergone changes. "There will be no internal tests in KRSU. In our system, we summarize the results of the All-Republican Testing (ORT) or the Unified State Exam (USE) and the average score of the applicant’s school certificate. Additional points will be given to those who have entered into a targeted training contract with a company or government agency. I also note that this year the cost of contract education for students from Kyrgyzstan will remain the same," Fomin-Nilov said.
