Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov spoke about the admissions campaign, campus and development of the university in an interview with 24.kg
The website of the news agency 24.kg published a long interview with the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov.
In the conversation, the rector spoke about the 2026 admissions campaign, the expansion of budget places, new educational programs, the construction of the campus, the digital transformation of the university and the role of modern higher education.
One of the key topics was the increase in budget places from the Russian Federation. This year, 555 budget places are provided for those entering KRSU. In addition, for the first time, budget places will appear in a university college.
Sergei Volkov also noted the expansion of the line of educational programs. Among the new study programs — graphic design, technosphere safety, teacher education, mining, economic security, as well as technical programs implemented jointly with Russian partners.
Special attention was paid to the project of the new campus KRSU. A plot of land with an area of almost 30 hectares is located in the area of the villages of Baytik and Kashka-Suu. The new campus will create modern educational buildings, laboratories, dormitories and a comfortable educational environment for students.
The rector also spoke about the digital transformation of the university. A department for the development of digital infrastructure has been created at KRSU, electronic schedules, campus maps and modern services for students and teachers are being introduced. Particular attention is paid to the competent use of artificial intelligence in the educational process.
