Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Denis Fomin-Nilov took part in the II International Youth Forum «Obninsk NEW»
The II International Youth Forum «Obninsk NEW» was held in the city of Obninsk, in which the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Denis Fomin-Nilov took part. The forum brought together more than 900 specialists from 100 countries, representing both leaders of nuclear industry countries and newcomers.
The forum became a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between young specialists working in the field of nuclear technology. Forum participants discussed current issues and shared best practices in the field of nuclear energy.
General Director of the state corporation «Rosatom» Alexey Likhachev, addressing journalists, noted the importance of creating comfortable conditions for training specialists in Obninsk. "In the educational project, which is being implemented in Obninsk, we are creating comfortable conditions for both trained specialists and students who are just beginning to master nuclear technologies. We strive to ensure that, firstly, everyone receives a full set of theoretical knowledge, and secondly, that they have the opportunity to undergo internships and gain experience at Russian enterprises," Likhachev said.
He also emphasized that about two dozen Russian universities are involved in the project. It is expected that its successful implementation will allow Russia to occupy at least 20% of the global market for nuclear and related education by 2030.
In turn, Denis Fomin-Nilov said that the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University also plans to join the project for training specialists in the field of nuclear technology, which will allow university students to gain modern knowledge and experience in this important and promising industry.
