Happy Information and Press Day of Kyrgyzstan!
Every year on November 7, Kyrgyzstan celebrates Information and Press Day – a professional holiday of all workers in the media, radio and television, printing, publishing houses, and book trade of Kyrgyzstan.
For this holiday, we have prepared a digest of the most striking events related to the activities of the Department of Information and Media Communications, the Television Center and the Student Media Center of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in 2022.
Double Anniversary Newspaper «Student Review»
In 2022, the newspaper «Student Review» KRSU celebrated 25 years since the first issue and 15 years since its official registration with the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic as a media outlet.
Over the years, talented journalists Elena Cheremenina, Dina Maslova, Illarion Zvyagintsev, Anna Myagchilova, Elena Polyakova, photographer Olesya Nikulshina and many others worked on issues «of the Student Review».
To this day, on the pages of the newspaper, the authors talk about the scientific, social, cultural, educational activities of the university, its famous graduates, the contribution of KRSU scientists to the public life of the country and do it with great pleasure!

Victory at the 1st International Competition «Media-Nauruz»
The press service of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University won first place for publication «Unfinished linguistic symphony by Evgeniy Polivanov», as well as a special prize for the video film «Russian State University for the Humanities and KRSU began preparations for the Year of the Russian Language» at the 1st International Competition for the best media coverage of the university’s scientific activities in the field of altaistics and Turkology «Media-Nauruz».
The competition was aimed at assessing the work of the press services of Central Asian universities, revealing scientific research in the field of history and culture of the Turkic peoples of Central Asia.
On one media wave
From October 20 to 23, the International Student Media Rally was held in the Moscow region. The event brought together 50 students from 16 countries – representatives of Russian-Slavic universities, foreign students studying at universities in the Russian Federation, as well as activists of the Youth Media Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
KRSU was presented at a large-scale forum 3rd year student of the Department of International Journalism Yana Krainyukova and employee of the student media center Angelina Kolorkova.
The purpose of the rally is to spread Russian education and the Russian language abroad and popularize science in the media.
For three days, the participants worked on creating their own unique media project, and then presented their work on two platforms on the social networks VKontakte and Telegram. According to the results of the competition, the team «Adras», whose participant was Yana Krainyukova, won; in the nomination «Popularization of the Russian language in the world» the team «Media pitch», which included Angelina Kolorkova, won.
