With soul and respect: touching congratulations from KRSU students

On May 9, students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Yana Nikulina and Maxim Kalinin visited two elderly women to congratulate them on Victory Day, express respect and say words of gratitude for their life path.

The first heroine of the meeting was 95-year-old Nina Vladimirovna — a former teacher who devoted her whole life to working at school. Now she lives alone and does not leave the house for health reasons. The attention from the students moved her to tears: for her, it was an important reminder that memory is alive, and care and participation still mean a lot.

The second meeting took place with the poetess Marina Kostrygina — a member of the siege society. Despite her illness, she continues to write heartfelt poems about the Great Patriotic War. In gratitude for the visit, Marina Aleksandrovna presented the guests with her collection of poetry. In it — a poem dedicated to May 9, filled with bitterness of loss and pride in the Victory.

The students presented the women with sweet gifts and carnations — symbols of memory and respect. Yana Nikulina performed the song «Cloud in Blue», and at the end of the meeting, together with her grandmothers, «Victory Day» — a song that unites generations was performed.

Such meetings not only touch hearts, but also become a living history lesson, conveying to young people a spirit of gratitude and continuity. Victory Day — is a day when it is important to be there, listen, remember and speak «thank you».
