Schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan spoke about their favorite books
On April 23, the results of the presentation and book trailer competitions organized by the A.O. Institute of Russian Language were summed up. Orusbaeva KRSU as part of a program dedicated to World Book and Copyright Day, dedicated to the upcoming Year of the Russian Language.
147 children from schools in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Naryn, Kara-Balty, Kaindy, Kadamzhai, Tash-Kumyr, Mailuu-Suu, Nookata, Kara-Suu, Razzakova, villages of Chui, Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Issyk-Kul regions.
According to the terms of the competitions, students in grades 7-11 of secondary schools in the republic had to independently prepare a story about their favorite book in the format of a presentation or book trailer. The contestants successfully completed the tasks and sent colorful presentations and interesting book trailers to the competition, in which they shared their knowledge of literature.
The jury especially noted the creative approach of young book lovers, their desire to express their thoughts vividly and figuratively, and the desire to interest their peers in fascinating reading. For the competition, schoolchildren submitted creative works both on the works of the literature curriculum and on extracurricular reading. The largest number of competition works were dedicated to Russian literary classics – works by A.S. Pushkina, M.Yu. Lermontova, N.V. Gogol, I.S. Turgeneva, F.M. Dostoevsky, L.N. Tolstoy, A.I. Kuprina, A.M. Gorky. The contestants also showed great interest in foreign literature – works by D. Defoe, W. Shakespeare, O. Henry, A. de Saint-Exupéry, E.M. Remarque and other writers. Creative works based on the works of the classic of Kyrgyz and Russian literature Ch.T. also took part in the competitions. Aitmatova. As before, young people are interested in science fiction writers – A. and B. Strugatsky, A.V. Belyaev – and modern writers working in the fantasy genre.
When asked why the words of A.S. are still relevant today. Pushkina: «Reading – this is the best teaching», schoolchildren answered that computers and gadgets, for all their advantages, will not replace communication with a book – a source of knowledge and wisdom, a friend who accompanies us all our lives.
Based on the results of the competitions, the jury determined the winners.
