Meeting of basic CIS organizations in the areas of university humanitarian cooperation

The International Analytical Club «Issyk-Kul – Greater Eurasia» took part in a meeting of basic CIS organizations dedicated to university humanitarian cooperation and the activities of Slavic universities. The event was held in a video conference format at the Russian State Humanitarian University (RGGU) in Moscow. From KRSU, the discussion was attended by the director of the club Ainura Kocherbaeva, the director of the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage Leonid Sumarokov and the head of the department Gulmira Dzhunushalieva.

The main topic of the meeting was teaching and studying the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as preparations for the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and scientific director of the Russian State University for the Humanities Evgeny Pivovar made a report in which he emphasized the importance of joint efforts of universities in preserving historical truth and combating the falsification of history.

During the event, representatives of universities and Slavic universities of the CIS exchanged experience in teaching the history of war and outlined an action plan to deepen humanitarian cooperation in preparation for the anniversary of the Victory. KRSU, active in the CIS humanitarian initiatives, presented its proposals for strengthening academic and educational ties between the CIS countries.
