Meeting at KRSU: educational process, new programs and steps towards the construction of a new campus
The traditional dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, chaired by the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov. The main attention was paid to the discipline of execution of management documents, readiness for the educational process, working with students and personnel agenda.
The rector emphasized that «executive discipline — is the daily responsibility of each manager», and called on the deans to personally monitor the passage of documents in the electronic document management system, promptly coordinate projects and get in touch, including during business trips. Based on the results of weekly monitoring, 34 documents were received through the system, four required immediate execution; Cases of delays were separately noted — managers were instructed to eliminate them as soon as possible.
The dispatch service, together with the dean's offices, confirmed the readiness of the classroom fund; A tour of the buildings training was carried out, and adjustments to schedules were formed taking into account ongoing repair work. To minimize noise work, «quiet windows» are defined so as not to disrupt classes. A separate block of discussion was devoted to physical education classes. Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy Stanislav Kulikov said that the university is working on the use of external sports grounds (including locker rooms and coaching premises) free of charge on weekdays from 08:00 to 20:00 — until the modernization of its own facilities is completed.
Deans are instructed to approve and publicly post schedules for the elimination of academic debt, indicating personal «hours of admission» of teachers (including for interfaculty departments). Particular attention — to the Faculty of Medicine, where queues were recorded last year. Separately, the need for timely issuance of diplomas to graduates and informing male students about military registration was raised.
The personnel agenda includes — a planned renewal of teaching staff through competitions and the formation of a personnel reserve of the best graduates in conjunction with the Career Center and the Alumni Association. The rector recalled that competition — is a tool for renewal and quality, and the load is distributed based on the results of competitive procedures. The deans are tasked with expediting the submission of lists of the best graduates to form a personnel reserve — with subsequent support through the Career Center and the Alumni Association.
The social and humanitarian block, IT areas and FADIS were tasked with «stitching» updated educational programs to meet market demands (including cybersecurity, information and economic security) and preparing consolidated presentations for the meeting of the Academic Council. The design confirmed the possibility of launching graphic design within the framework of existing licenses — with coordination with basic departments.
Progress has been noted on the legal registration of the land plot for the new campus: after receiving the «red book», the university will hold a separate working meeting with dean’s offices and designers to clarify areas, capacities, ventilation requirements and specialized premises. At the same time, options for patronage and partnerships with subordinate vocational education institutions are being studied for the accelerated creation of a flexible fund and dormitories.
In addition, Sergei Volkov congratulated the team on the 32nd anniversary of the university and thanked the faculty teams for their readiness for the new academic year.
Outcome of the meeting — focused agenda on three key areas: stable educational process, current educational programs and acceleration of infrastructure solutions, including the future campus. «The result consists of daily discipline and attention to students. We are keeping the pace», — the rector concluded.
