Preserving the memory of the Victory: an international conference «the Great Patriotic War and historical memory» was held at KRSU

An international scientific and practical conference on the topic «the Great Patriotic War and historical memory» was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and is aimed at preserving historical truth, strengthening the continuity of generations and developing scientific dialogue on issues of memory of the war.

During the conference, more than 15 reports were made from scientists, researchers, museum staff and students from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Topics include — the heroism of Kyrgyzstanis at the front, the evacuation of scientists to Central Asia, Nazi occupation policy, the role of industrial architecture, the contribution of the peoples of the USSR to the Victory and current challenges to historical memory.

Particular attention was paid to educational and museum activities, international projects, as well as the contribution of KRSU to perpetuating the memory of the Great Patriotic War. The conference became a significant platform for the exchange of scientific approaches and preserving the memory of the events that determined the fate of all humanity.
