Creator of Eternity: Viktor Arnoldovich Shestopal – 85!

October 6 in Bishkek in the house-museum of O.M. Manuilova opened a personal exhibition of the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, professor, sculptor Viktor Arnoldovich Shestopal. The organizers were the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B.N. Yeltsin and the Joint Directorate of Memorial Museums of Bishkek.

The exhibition of works by sculptor Viktor Shestopal is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Master’s birth and the 70th anniversary of his creative activity. The author belongs to the generation of classics, he is one of those who stood at the origins of creating the image of the Soviet man – worker, the image of high moral purity. V. Shestopal – a talented teacher who opened the way to art for a whole galaxy of young architects and sculptors.

The exhibition space is complemented by drawings by the famous sculptor – he gives an important place to easel drawing and the genre of psychological portrait. The master is no stranger to landscape motifs, which he enthusiastically works on while traveling.

For reference: In 1999, the opening ceremony of the monument to Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, authored by Viktor Arnoldovich, took place in front of the main building of KRSU. In 2002, Professor V.A. Shestopal created the Department of Fine Disciplines and Design KRSU (now – Department of Fine Disciplines).
