Student strategic session at KRSU: creating the future of students
Today, a large-scale Student Strategic Session started at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, bringing together 70 participants in various areas. Over the course of two days, young leaders will develop student development strategies aimed at strengthening self-government, science, creativity, civic engagement and sports.
Grand opening and welcoming words
Key figures supporting the students' initiative spoke at the opening ceremony:
Sergey Yuryevich Volkov, acting, rector of KRSU, emphasized: «We are ready not in words, but in deeds to support the students’ initiative. The university allocates grants for the implementation of startups: 1,000,000 soms for first place, 500,000 soms for second and 300,000 soms for third».
Aibek Tilekovich Shaikidinov, head of the youth policy department of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted the importance of such events for the development of youth leadership.
Ksenia Alekseevna Skachkova, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed confidence that KRSU students are able to develop initiatives that will be useful to the entire region.
Albert Farhatovich Zulharneev , the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, emphasized the importance of the Russian-Kyrgyz partnership in the field of youth policy.
Andrey Shevchenko, coordinator of the international branch of the movement «Victory Volunteers» in the Kyrgyz Republic, called on participants to actively participate in volunteer and social activities.
Formation of study programs and work of divisions
During the session, students will work in six strategic divisions, each of which develops projects and initiatives in its own area:
Division «Self-governance» – new management models within the student community, interaction with the administration and development of student organizations.
Division «Civic Position» – social projects, volunteering initiatives, student civic development.
Division «Creativity» – support for creative industries, development of student events, festivals and competitions.
Division «Science» – development of scientific initiatives, startups, grant programs for students.
Division «Adapters» – creating an inclusive educational environment, helping foreign students, developing adaptation programs.
Division «Sports» – popularization of a healthy lifestyle, development of sports clubs, organization of competitions and active events.
Results and prospects
The student strategic session at KRSU not only unites the most active and purposeful students, but also forms new mechanisms for their interaction with the university. The strategies developed will form the basis for the implementation of specific initiatives aimed at developing the university and improving student life.
The session will last two days, after which the participants will present their projects to the expert commission. The winners will receive financial support from the university to implement their ideas, which opens up great prospects for the development of student initiatives at KRSU.
