KRSU student Alexander Korotenko won the first round of the International Philosophy Olympiad
At the beginning of autumn, the First «International Student Olympiad in Philosophy», organized by the IKBFU, started in Kaliningrad on the initiative of the Government of the Russian Federation. Kant and Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov.
The event is held with the aim of popularizing philosophical knowledge, forming a sustainable interest of young people in classical and modern philosophical issues, promoting the development of critical thinking skills, and promoting the ideas of cultural and civilizational diversity.
The Olympiad accepts undergraduate, specialist and master's students from Russian and foreign universities, regardless of the profile of the education they receive.
The first stage (qualifying round) took place on September 6 in absentia in a remote format in the format of an essay on the topic of the Olympiad. Based on its results 3rd year student of the Faculty of Humanities KRSU Alexander Korotenko became one of the winners and he received an official invitation to the next (final) round, which will take place on November 22-23, 2022 in Kaliningrad at the IKBFU. The final round will take place in two categories: presentation of original work on topics approved by the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad or defense of an original project to popularize modern achievements of philosophy.
The results of the final stage will be published on November 25 on the official website.
