KRSU students were given a lecture on UNIDO activities

On March 17, at the Department of World Economy KRSU, a guest lecture was held by the Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, National Coordinator of the Resource Efficiency Project Change Pathways Ltd (South Africa) Marat Usupov on the topic: «UNIDO and achieving inclusive and sustainable industrial development».

The lecturer said the coronavirus pandemic has exposed the negative effects of the lack of basic industrial production in many developing countries.

According to M. Usupov, UNIDO plays an important role in improving industrial production – the policy of this organization is aimed at the efficient use of resources in developed and developing countries.

The guest also spoke about the special industrial development program for Kyrgyzstan, which was developed by UNIDO experts.
